X Rebrands ‘Verified Organizations’ and Introduces New Premium Tiers for Businesses

X (formerly Twitter) announced a significant rebrand and restructuring of its premium offering for organizations, Verified Organizations. The program will now be split into two distinct subscription tiers: Premium Business and Premium Organizations.

The goal of the shift appears to be two-fold: to better categorize different customer types and to boost revenue through a simplified yet tiered pricing structure.

Understanding the New Tiers

The Premium Organizations tier will cost $1,000 per month and is intended to verify and lend credibility to official government accounts.

Deep Dive into Premium Business

The Premium Business tier is designed to help companies of any size—from small businesses to global firms—scale their presence on X. The subscription costs are structured into three access levels:

  1. Basic (): This tier provides “the essentials to establish your business on X.”
  2. Full Access (): This level includes crucial features such as affiliate badges (to increase visibility), fast support, priority handles, and impersonation defense. Subscribers also get early access to new features.
  3. Enterprise (): This top-tier level offers advanced tools, dedicated account management, and “maximum support for your unique goals.”

Key Features of the Premium Business Offering:

  • Credibility & Visibility: A gold checkmark and affiliate badges are used to build trust and increase a company’s reach on the platform.
  • Safety & Support: The service includes advanced impersonation defense tools and faster human support for rapid issue resolution.
  • Advanced Tools: Subscribers get access to tools for hiring, real-time brand and industry monitoring, and SuperGrok (X’s AI model).

New Handle Marketplace

X also plans to introduce new ways for Premium Business subscribers to secure their desired account names:

  • Priority Handles: A set of inactive handles will be made available to Premium Businesses for free.
  • High-Value Handles: Rarer or more valuable inactive handles will be available for purchase through a new marketplace.

X’s Push for Revenue

For a limited time, X is offering a strong incentive: users can receive 100% of their subscription cost back in the form of advertising credits.

The introduction of the lower-cost Basic tier () is a strategic move, likely designed to boost subscriber numbers and diversify revenue streams as the social network continues to grapple with its challenging advertising business.

As Seth Fuchs from X Engineering stated, “We’re building for organizations that want to move fast, stay relevant, and grow directly on the world’s town square.”
